The Elevate App
Do you store facial data?
No. We do all the analysis on the end user’s device to maintain privacy. We don’t store faces and only output the numerical results of the emotional analysis.
What are the performance limitations?
Elevate.AI App—like any Vision AI solution—requires minimum image quality criteria for detection and analysis to work accurately.
Elevate.AI image definition should be at least 80×80 pixels.
To ensure high-quality results, the following scenarios should be avoided:
- faces are poorly lit
- faces with high lighting contrasts (ex. sitting by the side of a window and half of the face is in shadow)
- faces are over-illuminated by a strong light source
Can I use any PC for the analysis?
Yes, a mid-range PC should be able to analyze 10-15 faces per second. To maintain optimal performance while analyzing a higher number of faces, the analysis time interval can be increased to 2 or 3 seconds in settings.
The Elevate App is not currently supported on Mac.
Does everyone in the meeting need to install the app?
No. Elevate only needs to be installed on the PC of one of the participants in the meeting.
Analysis
Which facial expressions / emotions does Elevate measure?
We measure 8 core facial expressions–based on their intensity–in order to get quantitative data on how a person is feeling:
- Happy
- Neutral
- Sad
- Anger
- Disgust
- Contempt
- Surprise
- Afraid
Is the analysis real-time?
Yes. Elevate.AI client does all the face analytics processing locally, which provides several advantages that are crucial to our customers:
- Results are real-time with near-zero latency. Actions can be taken immediately when target emotions are observed.
- The expensive computing required to extract emotion streams is done free on the end-user device, not in an expensive cloud platform that usually charges by API call and computing power.
- This approach has zero remote traffic, a very important issue for enterprise Customers who need to carefully manage traffic across their global networks.
Customer Support
Why is the visual analysis not working?
The Elevate App requires an image definition of at least 80×80 pixels. Learn more about technical requirements here.

Does Elevate offer a SaaS option?

Elevate is currently in Beta Access. Right now, we offer Client-Only.
Coming soon, we will offer both a Client-Only and a Client + SaaS option.
The SaaS Emotions Insights platform will collect all emotion data sent by the Client, analyze it, and visualize it on dashboards. It will also notify when specific criteria are met with actionable insights that allow management to take actions based on emotional intelligence gathered from the workforce.
The SaaS option will also control the Clients deployed across customer IT systems, manage configurations, define time intervals, and configure optional data to be measured such as demographics (gender, age, and ethnicity).
